Over the last six weeks or so, I feel I've made decent progress in driving the project further. After continuing contextual analysis and assessing the practicalities of filming, I've found myself in the position of being considerably closer to the actual filming component of the dystopian drama episode.
Storyboards are finalised after what feels like hundreds of drafts, and the script is basically finished as it is - honestly, I don't want the acting to have that unnatural feel, so I'd rather have the cast to use it as more of a prompt, allowing more natural conversation to flow on camera. Casting is complete, and locations that I'm using don't necessarily need assessing since they're fairly easy to come across being my parent's work office followed by a woodland setting.
Now, I need to figure out my camera script and exactly how I'm going to find my way around the cinematography equipment. The project itself could use a little more contextual analysis, and I'd like to post my main inspiration here to reflect back on. Also, the order of scenes is going to need to be clarified. Which scenes I record first, and elements such as during which hours I'll need to film after considering what natural lighting is needed create my desired aesthetic. In terms of costuming and props, I think that the clothing is easy enough to come by in a collective wardrobe of mine and my casting's pre-existing garments, and props wise, I'm not implementing anything particularly unusual in my piece. I'm not using weaponry style props on screen, so only a computer with 'official' feeling documents and photographs that I'll take time to create and edit will be onscreen. I also want some special effects for a cinematic feel to my filming but, having also chosen to create something of the film medium in my Art and Design Course, I'll be able to utilise lighting for example in both that and my Media Studies programme.
...I'll also get around to uploading images of my storyboard, etc. here soon.
